Faultline welcomes previously unpublished submissions of poetry, fiction, translations, and art. Our submission period is October 15th to December 15th. Submissions received at any other time will not be read. To familiarize yourself with the sort of stuff we tend to like here at Faultline, we recommend stopping by our archive page to order one of our glittering issues from years past. We welcome simultaneous submissions, but please notify us immediately if your submission is accepted elsewhere.

*Please note that for the 33rd volume, which currently (fall 2023) has a call open for submissions, we are not accepting submissions of art, and we have reached our fiction submission cap. We are working to raise the cap for fiction submissions, but will not be opening a call for art for this volume. Thank you for your understanding, and we’re excited to bring this volume to you!

ONLINE SUBMISSION GUIDELINES*

  • Poetry: up to five poems.
  • Fiction: one submission, up to twenty pages.
