We are very grateful to every single person who submits their work to be considered for publication in Faultline. We are always happy and honored to read your work.
About our team: an editorial team of two third-year MFA students (in poetry and fiction), and one editorial intern, are in charge of overseeing the entire process of publication of this journal, from opening calls for submissions, to selecting submissions, to working with the writers to edit the submissions, to laying out the entire issue, working with printers, and launching the issue. Every summer, we hand over editorships to a new trio.
That being said, with our very small team, and with such a frequent turnover, occasionally some submissions fall through the cracks. We receive a very high volume of submissions and do our best to personally manage each one that comes in. For whatever reason, we have occasionally neglected to close out or respond to certain submissions.
If that is the case for you and your submission(s), we are sincerely sorry. We apologize for the inconvenience to you and we are aiming to resolve this problem going forward by being more meticulous about responding to each submission within an appropriate timeframe.
If you have an unanswered submission from past years, we will be responding to it by the end of Fall ’24; please note that any submissions not responded to by now are unfortunately not being considered for publication.
We do so appreciate your willingness to send us your work. We hope that you will submit to us again for consideration for future issues.
